Customers trailblazer a/c clutch was created by james.hayes
Hello guys and gals, 2008 trailblazer 4.2. Customer complains about having to remove the ECM fuse and putting it back in to get her AC compressor to engage.. The AC may work or may not work all day long but regardless it will happen every day.. i’m thinking I have a bad ECM but I’m unclear on what kind of testing I need to do to resolve this issue.. I have no other trouble codes.. Any suggestions would be helpful thank you

The first thing I would do is make sure you have a proper refrigerant charge. Many GM AC systems will disable if the charge is too low. The clutch will not re-engage until the codes are reset or the battery disconnected. Removing the ECM fuse would do the same.
