2014 ford fusion 2.5 tps sensor fault was created by danny360
Hello guys!
Got a bit of a curveball here.

Essentially my question would be about the integrity of testing a circuit for resistance.

But my fusion starts, idles ok. But upon pressing the accelerator pedal it starts surging, different results if i just floor it, it will rev up nicely.
Read codes and p0122,p0223,p02101,p02111, and p0113,p0103 for maf sensor.

I am following fords pinpoint test c, vref came short by 2 volts.
tp1 and tp2 values are way off.

So now i am at the part where you check for resistance between tps(on the 2.5 its technically etbtps) (electronic)and pcm connector.
its under 5ohm, next step calls to check pcm harness and ground, and here it wants over 10k ohms, i am measuring 1.4k.

Anyone encounter this issue?

So your reference voltage is low?? If it’s low you might need to find a diagram and start unplugging sensors that share the reference voltage.

Or test for 5v ref at another sensor. Then you'll know whether everything is being pulled down or just the TPS feed. And even if everything is being pulled down it might be the TPS feed doing it since you got a low resistance to ground on that wire.

1.4k ohms resistance to ground on a 5V reference wire with the sensor and PCM disconnected? That sounds like a resistive short to ground to me.

Now you go looking for the short. Green crusties inside connectors are a strong possibility.
