I recently purchased a 2011 Chev Aveo 5 and purchaser had only one key to go with it .... so I went to my GM Dealer for another key ( had to take car in to be programmed !) After 3 hours and $ 250. later GM couldnt pull the key code !!! So I have the $130.00 transponder head key which they say cannot be programmed to my Aveo 5 .
If I put it in the ignition it will lock up the car!.. The new key is cut but I cannot use it.

Can anyone please offer a solution to my big problem?
Is there a way to bypass the key code ??

Thanks

The immobilizer function can be turned off in the engine control module. This is done by altering the information in the eeprom. You should look for a qualified locksmith, not really a big deal.

Does your car feature a delphi mt 80 ecm with 2 connectors, grey and black?
