2004 Ford taurus 3.0u ac not working code for evaporator discharge temperature sensor voltage high. It has the sensor but pin 66 at pcm is empty. Pinched into alldata 2004 to 2006 models says on 2005 model early build has it but later build does not and 2006 does not have it. This is a 10 Vin is 4 for 2004 but pin 66 is empty with code p0538 and has the thermistor in evap box. It does have the pin 91 signal return wire at pcm for the thermistor. Can someone explain where the tan orange wire goes to. Please help

I've gotta ask because I deal with it all the time, 10th digit off the dash VIN plate?
Not the door.
Also, pushrod 3.0 or duratec 24v 3.0?
Also, also... Manual or automatic climate control?

Thank you for clarifying. You wouldn't believe how many issues I see from people misidentifying the year.
I don't see why pin #66 would be empty on your PCM
Is it flanked by a brown & green and a Violet & white wire?
65: EGR DPFE sensor- brown/lt green
66: Evap temp sensor- tan/orange
67: canister vent - violet/white
