ive got a 2014 hyundai sonata, no communication with the abs module. ive load tested the grounds and powers. the CAN lines to the module seem to be good, no erratic signal or high or low voltage. my question is, can i cut the pair coming out of the abs unit and test to see if the module is putting out the proper signal? if so, what could i expect if the module was good.

Have you checked the pins 6 and 14 at the data link connector for 60 ohms battery unhooked. If you have 60 ohms the data lines are not the issue. But you could do what you wanted if ya can repair the wires when your done

Have you tried a soft reset? Or tried disconnecting the ABS module and leaving it disconnected for awhile?

I've had success with this method on other Hyundai products in the past, and it has restored communication to dead modules.

Worth a try. :)

good ohms at dlc. i figure the module is actually not communication, there didn't seem to be anything dragging it down. carlot got a used unit and i plugged it in before swapping and i got back communication. thank you everyone for you replies.
