O2s monitor not ready was created by Trooper22
Hello everyone, I hope all is great for everyone and that all are safe and healthy.
I repaired a 2012 Hyundai Sonata 2.4 several days ago. 4 to be exact. I have no trouble codes and none pending.
My issue is all my monitors are complete EXCEPT for the o2s monitor. I have to get the car inspected for a good customer of mine before I return it. But in Delaware you can only have the evap monitor no ready, which is ready believe it or not.
I have completed at least 4 drive cycles and have over 2 hundred miles since the the battery has been reconnected.
I'd greatly appreciate any advice on what might be causing my problem or issue. I've never had this happen in many years.
Thank you for sharing your time with me and for any knowledge and or advice.
Take care everyone and stay safe.
Ed

You need top post the fuel trims and compare the output of the pre and post cat O2 sensors

Thank you for your time.
My STFT stays around 0.0, -0.8, -1.6
LTFT stays at 10.2
At 1500 rpm STFT is 11.7 LTFT pegged at 0.0
At 2000 rpm STFT is 18.0 LTFT pegged at 0.0
At 2500 rpm STFT is 14.8 or around there LTFT is pegged at 0.0

I just took the car for a drive. STFT moves between 2.0 and 6.0.
And as long as I'm touching the gas LTFT is pegged at 5.5 and at red lights STFT goes to 0.0 or close to that. And LTFT goes to 7.0

Im past my inspection time so just trying to figure this out. I've never had anything like it.

So car's running lean. Is fuel PSI low or is the Baro off? This car is speed density so what is BARO reading at key on?

One trick I've heard several times for stubborn monitors is to induce a fault code (disconnect a sensor, for example), then clear the codes and drive again. Just an idea. :)

The fuel pressure is correct for the information I've been able to find. BARO with the KOEO is 29.5.
I've even tried cleaning the map sensor and throttle body. They were pretty clean in the first place.
Thank you greatly for your time and help, any other suggestion or anything you need to know just please ask.
This is a strange one but I know it can be fixed.

Thank you for your time and help, I've tried that a few times. Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated. All the monitors set really fast, evap even sets on the 2and drive cycle. Only 1 that wont set is o2s.

Sorry it doesn't, I'm actually looking to purchase a new scan tool now. Just so confused on which one (WHAT WOULD BE YOUR RECOMMENDATION FOR A NEW SCAN TOOL?)
I do sincerely appreciate your time and help! I've never had something like this before and I'm seriously reading to jump off a bridge. I know it's fixable but how!?
Please any suggestions and I'm on it!!!! I have to get this car inspected.
