2014 cruze p1101 code 1.4L TURBOCHARGED FIXED CORRUGATED HOSE (CHECK VALVE) was created by josue1180
kicking my butt big time. code p1101 keeps on coming on, valve cover has been replaced,purge solenoid,map sensor,mass sensor, intake manifold been replaced as well due to the missing orange plug, car has been smoked no leaks found, had cleaned the throttle body, map, mass and boost sensor correlate like they are suppose to.What i had noticed is that at idle there is a PID called map test 1 and map test 2. #1 shows malfunction until i give it a little bit of throttle then it goes to ok. baro is right at 14.1psi and map sensor shows same reading key on engine off. i had jump the 5v ref and the signal wire on the map disconected and it shows 5v on the scanner, i think wiring is not the issue. is there something im missing? could a bad turbo cost this code? help needed big time. thanks in advance
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR REPLIES THEY ALL WERE VERY HELPFUL, I WAS NOT TO FAMILIAR WITH THIS TURBO SYSTEMS BUT THEY HAVE A CHECK VALVE WHICH IS PART OF THE HOSE THAT RUNS FROM INTAKE TO TURBO INLET, IT MIGHT BE KNOWN AS A PCV VALVE OR CORRUGATED HOSE ANY WAY THAT WAS THE REASON I WAS NOT SEEN ANY EXTERNAL LEAKS BUT AT IDLE TPS WAS READING .08% WHICH INDICATED A MASSIVE AIR LEAK DUE TO THE CHECK VALVE(ONE WAY VALVE) IT WAS DEFECTIVE AND LETTING AIR BYPASS. ANYWAY THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP

Did you reset the throttle body airflow compensation after cleaning it?? Check your data in the throttle body see what it reads

You mention the malfunction is present until give same throttle, so what is the data pid for MAP at idle? Test manifold for vacum at idle with vacum/pressure pistol or similar.
Other test is, take out MAP sensor and put a plugg on sensor place;
Eletrical plugg on and a vacum pistol connected to the sensor;
Start the engine and "give" the correct vacum to the sensor at idle;
Give us the results.

throttle position percentage at idle should be between 8-12... less than 7 indicates unmetered air entering the intake... also check the air baffle in the air box, is it missing or not positioned correctly.

Being wrong doesn't bother me, it's being right and not understanding why that does

ANY IDEA WHAT THE CORRECT VACUUM WOULD BE AT IDLE?

Bad turbos do happen on these engines, usually due to a clogged oil feed line. Does it make boost? :huh: Go do a WOT run and get some VE numbers. Or, run out 2nd gear and see how high Absolute Load goes. Should go over 140%.
