Crank no start was created by Barrett97
Hello Scannerdanner,
I have a 97 GMC 5.7 c2500 cranks no start. New fuel pump at 60 psi
Distributor, cap , and rotor. Plugs wires, crank position sensor , ignition coil.
I have power to all of these components but not getting any spark.
I have engine set at TDC. Completely frustrated! Any ideas?
Thank you

Welcome to the forum!

I suspect this post will get more attention after one of the moderators moves it over to the repair section.

Until then, you said you have fuel pressure, do you know if the injectors are firing?

How exactly did you confirm no spark?

Hey this is Ruben in Phoenix az.

I have attached wiring diagram for this vehicle below with two simple checks that should give you some direction.

Check waveform signal with any labscope at cam and crank sensors at most easily accessible location for you. PCM is always a good place usually up front by radiator driver side.
You should have waveform on both of those sensors. You clearly have voltage at them so now time to check signal.

IF you have signal at both( if you can upload waveforms on both would be great), Next step is to check the powers and grounds at PCM. Can you communicate with PCM? Im curious if you are.

IF you don't have spark this is the first place to start to get a better idea we gotta have the inputs to the PCM and check them.

Hope this helps
