hello everyone

i have 2013 bmw 328i with the n20 engine

it a no start and i have code 130e20 cam shaft offset code i have checked the wiring good gound and 5 volt signal and 4.85 on third wire . on live data i can see the exhaust cam signal but i cannot see and intake cam signal i replaced the sensor with a known good sensor and check reluctor and is good im not sure if the engine has to be running to see intake signal any help would be appreciated .

hey there, that code appears to be for the intake camshaft angle offset out of range compared to the crankshaft.

the camshaft sensor is a hall effect sensor so the engine would need to be running.

you can either replace the intake vanos solenoid actuator, or mechanically check timing.

i would probably replace solenoid first and retest.
