Getting CEL 52 and the knock sensor is not accessible unless the intake manifold and accessories are removed so am looking for solutions to find the CEL 52 and the lack of power.
I have a new Picoscope (2205A) and some probes and have these questions:

1- How to get the signals (voltage and A/C) at the ECM when the cable from Sensor to ECM is shielded to the connector at the ECM where is the only place to access the cable?

2- How to physically attach/install the signal wire for a temporary new sensor bolted to the engine left bracket to the ECM? Could a regular wire one conductor work just to test? But the sensor I bought has two pins!

3- How where to connect my Scope's second channel to be able to see the retard angle caused by the Knock sensor. I do not see anything in the Toyota Electrical Manual's diagrams?

Could it be that the engine is just starved for fuel or too much air due to false MAF sensor? Fuel pressure is as per specs and d not change with more fuel flow.

4- Should I cut the Knock sensor's cable at the ECM just before the connector and strip the shielding and use the core wire inside for signal o the Scope? Is the shielding side of the cable connected to Ground?

I appreciate any suggestions,
Thanks
