Scan tool is definitely the way forward here. ;) You're looking for things like excessive high side pressure, low side switches, or high coolant temperature. You'll be able to cross a lot of suspects off your list, and possibly use a bidirectional function to command the compressor clutch once the symptom happens.

While you're there, get the A/C to stop working and give the compressor clutch face a tap or two with a screwdriver/pry bar. If the clutch suddenly engages, you're fighting a clutch air gap problem.

The clutch could be the culprit because the IPDM does leave fault code about the clutch being short circuit or open circuit and I realize the ipdm is very sensitive to the feedback from the clutch anytime there is error in the ipdm of the clutch, the A/C signals does not meet specs.

What I have done apparently which I would like to study the system to see is, I place Diode on the power line which feed the Compressor. The car is currently on test, so far so good, I would say the open or circuit or short has not come up again, remember someone else also changed the compressor as the original one got burnt, the clutch face or coil got burnt. Unlike first, 20 minutes drive will give the problem out but since I put diode on the line, the fault has not show up, am
Still watching to see, this fault is very sensitive that, an error in the ipdm about the clutch, won’t let the compressor engage till you erase the PAST or history fault code.
