The engine Cranks excessively long at start up once it is running it runs very rich upon putting a fuel pressure gauge pressure is 40 pounds with the Keyon and 38 at an idol Noticed that pump does not shut off with key-on engine off Checked system two days later and pump cycled correctly engine ran fine one day later same syptoms returned. Tried to scan for codes code reader would not read and check engine light was on Novus mechanic not sure where to check next

Check proper power and grounds to the the pcm first, next check all engine and body grounds, then com line. This is where I would start.
An expert is someone who knows each time more on each time less, until he finally knows absolutely everything about absolutely nothing.

Thanks for the response I will start checking tomorrow and see what I can find. When you say com line are you referring to the code testing wire .?
