Relay lost power to the coil side when pulled. Any help would be great.

Relay lost power to the coil side when pulled. Any help would be great. was created by Darrel
I'm working on a 2005 kenworth t800 VIN#119462. The problem was no head lights, low or high beam. While diagnosing this issue I pulled a drl relay and power to the relay was lost and can not find out why. No blown fuses. No LCM that I am aware of.

Do you have a diagram to determine from where the control side of the relay is fed it's power?
I have exactly zero Kenworth experience, but if it worked before you pulled the relay and now it doesn't I would try to disconnect the battery (batteries?) for a few moments. I'm thinking that perhaps a module could be logic locked or just plain not happy with the sudden open circuit on the control side of the relay.
Just a guess based on some weird stuff I've seen on cars and junk yard equipment, may not hold true for your Kenworth.

An expert is someone who knows each time more on each time less, until he finally knows absolutely everything about absolutely nothing.

Did you loose power on the load side or on the control side or is there a common feed for both? Did you inspect the connectors to that relay box/socket? Is there power to the connector? If the battery reset does not do the trick then just work your way back from the relay to the power source following the diagram.

I lost power rto the control side. The connector is confirmed good. I only have one power and that is on the load side.

I thank you for your help. I'm a new sub. Hopefully one day I'll be able to help someone also. I have not been able to find the head lamp relay. Dealership said that all of the fuses and relays are in this panel I just posted. But I actually found a set of 4 relays buried behind the dash but aren't labeled. They are in the wiring diagram. The one I pulled has yellow and black wires going to it.

Because of the low resolution I can not decipher the diagram. Post the original wiring diagram instead of a screenshot, if you have access to it....
The fusebox sticker actually mentions "this section of electrical panel behind instrument panel", referring to the first 2 rows labeled "SP" and "A". There might be more to it.
Do the DRL come on when you feed the relay control with voltage? Did you solve the original complaint/headlight issue? If so, something that you may have touched in the process?

Pay close attention to the wiper relay. Details very important. Keep it simple stupid (kiss). Thanks for all the help. Problem fixed. The marker lights came to life the moment I moved the fuse panel. I will be trying to tighten all of the terminals. The headlights were fixed by replacing the wiper relay, LOL.
