1- These clusters used to fail because of cold solder points

2 - Check for excessive AC-voltage, also a common issue on these.

3 - make sure you don't loose the bus.

As above --- also rpm related issues are often new to opens where there is movement or loose bad grounds
check the shared grounds (its a Chrysler !) and harness where it runs engine to body or any where there is relative movement that could pull down or open the bus. I also would do a ressistance check between can high and can low wires should be 60 ohms
An oscilloscope makes this kind of issue easier to track down.
