2002 Nissan pathfinder 3.5 l 4x4 alternator sometimes not charging changed alternator with used one same problem pulled neg battery cable engine died charged battery started engine pulled neg cable engine did not die not sure if computer turns alternator on or bad charge wire to battery maybe bad ground were to start may be bad alternator repair shop did a test said alternator work fine
You can try doing a voltage drop test on your alternator cables, to make sure everything is connected well. Also make sure the drive belt is tight enough and not slipping.
