2002 F150 Supercrew 5.4l Automatic 4 x 4 was created by FX4
Hi, for the last couple of years my truck would start to stumble at idle, at cruising or highway speed. Whether in park or gear at no particular time. It would do it for a couple of seconds or up to 20 seconds. I have changed; egr, fuel pump, injectors, coils, spark plugs, fuel filter. Probably more that I am forgetting. I have replaced complete exhaust, intake manifold, not all for this problem but also because it needed it. When it stumbles, you can push down on the accelerator and nothing happens. The truck will not set a trouble code, no check engine light will come on even if I disconnect 3 or 4 sensors. I just replaced the computer and had Ford program the pats keys, it ran better but the next day it stumbled again. Any help with this would be appreciated. Other than replacing the wiring harness, I don't know what to do. Thank you.

Truck won’t move when it does this when hitting the accelerator?? Maybe it’s the torque converter??

Do these have the pcv hose in the back of the engine where the hose rots and causes it to run bad

Was this ever resolved?
If not resolved, can you provide any scanner data of it running both good and bad? MAF (my 2003 has MAF, so, I'm guessing your 2002 does too), Throttle position, accelerator position, EGR (I wonder if EGR is sticking), IAC, all of the O2 sensors, and RPM
