EGR VALVES was created by mannijonboy
This query concerns a 2009 Peugeot Expert 2000 hdi 120 Taxi.
Over the last 10 weeks i have changed 3 egr valves as the diagnostic codes indicated faulty egr valves
1st original was found to be sticking was cleaned and replaced fault came back after a few miles
2nd Was a second one which was very clean. this also failed same fault after a few miles
3rd A low cost new one this one failed as soon as it was fitted.
4th One i decided to purchase a more expensive one from Euro Parts this one has been working ok for several
weeks but has not done a lot of mileage
I cannot believe that all 4 valves have failed due to being faulty.
The electrical circuit to the valve was ok
Euro Parts advised that they had no returns of this part
Regards

Have you got a bi-directional scantool that will operate the valve ?

I'm not familiar with that vehicle, but I would check for clogged EGR passages. They clog on the low pressure side. Check the intake passage and the DPFE sensor passage, if equipped.
