IAC question was created by John Curtis
2001 Silverado 1500 4.8l base

Start/stall
Foot on the gas and it was running fine. No throttle and it died. Tapped on the IAC and now it’s performing fine.

Should I recommend the replacement of the IAC at this point even if it’s now working properly?

I would. It's not going to get better over time. Plus, at the end of the day you don't make money not selling service.
