2003 BMW 330i 3.0 was created by Columbus450
03 BMW 330i 3.0
Codes
131 can signal instrument panel 1
132 can signal instrument panel 2
209 Ews electronic mobilizer manipulation check
Snapon modis used
Instrument panel does not work all fuses good
A Crank no start
Cannot connect with ews and cas modules via scanner
Disconnected batteries overnight next morn It started ran great clears faults
From my understanding ews emobilizes the vehicle with faulty keys or low battery voltage
Kept jump pack on battery From the looks of it I called a faulty battery because the static voltage was 11 V from what I read BMW likes 12 to 13 volts
Vehicle was running great EWS fault code keeps coming back and demobilize the vehicle
For some reason I cannot synchronize the modules with my scanner and realign them
The info I have found out so far,,,,,
The vehicle’s ECU and Immobiliser system have ‘lost synchronisation’. In other words the main engine computer is no longer getting the message it needs from the immobilser to start the vehicle.
BMW diagnostics are needed to reset the values in both the DME and the EWS or CAS, this will resync the two units so they can talk to eachother
What do I do next ?

k line from immobilizer goes to instrument cluster, instrument cluster talks to computer hmm, and it starts after battery is disconnected. Try pulling only the fuse to instrument cluster, wait a min, reconnect fuse, and see if vehicle restarts. Pull power from immobilizer only, reconnect power, and see if vehicle can start.

Yes pulled the 3 fuses for instrument cluster Plugged them back in vehicle starts immediately, Since the instrument cluster communicate by can lines by pulling the fuses it seems like it reset it causing the vehicle to start , Looks like to me the fix will be a new instrument Cluster
