Hello people-
Have my sister in laws 2010 Dodge 3.5l Avenger coming to see me needing a new key learned to the car. I looked on shopkey and it claims its as easy as a quick procedure as long as you have one key learned to the car. They have one key. Looking online- I see some info saying you need 2 keys learned to the car before you can add a third. I have a fully updated SO scanner. I don't see anything pertaining to immobilizer related stuff. I have no pincode. I have yet to plug into the car and actually poke around a little. She is over an hour away and I would prefer her not having to walkhome when I get things locked up and the car won't start with any key. Any help much appreciated. Thanks!
I believe, you read the pin code from the key that you already have. I, also, think this can be done without a scanner, via a button push combination. Although I haven't personally done it, I'm sure the Snap On will have no problems.
