98 Toyota Camry Door Panel Mystery Part. was created by Dtnel
98 Toyota Camry 163,000 miles. Pulled the door panel and this mystery part fell out onto the ground and I almost didn't see it. I am replacing the left mirror and the left door handle as it was part of a deal when I sold the vehicle to the guy over the winter. Working on it outside so that's why I didn't get to it till this week plus I had to paint it with touch up paint.
Looking at the bolts it appears that maybe the window motor or some type of tracking have new bolts that might have been replaced but I just can't seem to place this plastic piece. I've included pictures of the door with the panel removed and I will also include a picture of the backside of the panel I removed.
If somebody sees something who knows where it goes from their daily shop grind please by all means just take the photo, download it, draw a circle around where it goes and which orientation an uploaded in a response to me if you could please.
Wow I'm using internet outside since my wife I from my house across the street don't reach and I must say it uploaded the photos and less than 15 seconds. That's pretty good on Verizon's part and the forums part.
Let me get this new drivers door handle and left-hand Mira in and I will check and see if there's any responses. Otherwise if everything fits in place snugly I will just button her up and send her on her way if I haven't seen a response. I know it's 9 at night and some people are getting ready for bed, watching basketball or cruising the internet forums gaining more Gearhead knowledge!

I think that goes somewhere around the top left side of the door ( 11 o'clock-ish) so that a fastener can come in through the panel from the latch side pointing toward the hinges. The side that is covered by the door jamb when the door is closed that is.
To put it into perspective a little, all the other fasteners go through the panel from the inside pointing out.
