Have a 2000 GMC Jimmy 4.3 Vortec 4Dr. SE,,,hard start after starting and waiting 5/6 minutes. Starts instantly when no fuel pressure in rail, like first thing in the mornings, but if you have fuel pressure in rail, does not want to start, and F.P. only reads around 42 psi at S. valve. If you bleed the fuel pressure to 0, then it starts right up...am I dealing with a weak fuel pump which was replaced less than 2 years ago, (Advance Band), or some other problem? Have changed fuel filter also, and recent tune up...Runs like a champ after starting,,no issues there. Believe my problem is low fuel pressure related, it holds pressure good, meaning 45 minutes or so.
Been fighting this problem for sometime now,, maybe getting ready to drop tank and check voltage back there,,,have new battery also..
When in no start; mode,,,F.P. only reads around 42 PSI.
