I have this ford f150 with p2006 i took the intake off to check the imrc clips and the runners they seem to be good. The runner turn nicely when the arms are disconnected and the plastic clips are good. I turn the the imrc motor by hand it is a little hard but turns. Question is how much resistance should it have and i see that the flaps are adjustable but don't close all the way there is a small space in between is this normal? Can the egr valve also cause this code?
Thank you for your help.

Not trying to be a jerk, but are you sure that this is an '04? 'Cause I don't see that they offered an F-150 with a 4.2L in '04

Anyway, I did find an '03 with a 4.2L. Go go gadget wiring diagram!
My issue here is that I'm not sure you're going to be able to measure the motor resistance on this design, as it's internal to the actuator, and not controlled directly by the PCM. We'll have to monitor the PCM's command to the actuator, and the signal voltage instead.
What kind of scanner do you have available? With the intake off, I think your best move is to hook the actuator back up to the harness, turn the key on, and run the KOEO Self Test. That'll command the IMRC wide open, and enable you to monitor voltages at the actuator during the test. I don't know exactly what voltages you'll see on the IMRC SIGNAL, but I figure the command will be pretty obvious if it's there

If you see a command with no actuator movement, with good power and ground, then I think you're looking at a bad actuator.

Hey Tyler thanks for your quick reply the truck is a 04 4.2L here is the pic and it's a f150 xlt.
The production date is 02-04, i will install the imrc in the morning and see what happens.
So on wire 391 i should have batt. voltage , on the signal wire don't know but when koeo test the signal wire should have some voltage is this correct?

So it is! The BBB Industries site lied to me

Right on about circuit 391. Yeah, I'm not positive if the signal is pull up or pull down, I'm just interested to see some kind of activity during the KOEO Self Test. Also probably worth taking a measurement at the monitor wire. If I remember right, it's a 5V switch input where 5V is when the actuator is off, and 0V is when the actuator is on. An open in the monitor wire might also explain why the PCM is seeing the actuator stuck off.
I don't have any data off a 4.2L, but I have a capture here from a 5.4L F-150 with (what I'm hoping) is a similar IMRC system:
