Hey guys just a real quick question I have a 2001 jeep wrangler 4.0,and wanting to know if the evap solenoid should be open or closed with key on engine off,the car iam working on solenoid valve is open with key off and key on and runs quite rough.

Generally speaking, the purge valve is, normally, closed. The vent valve is, normally, open.
