I’ve seen a couple post of similar problems where people blow ecm fuse #10 and lose communication. Mine started the same but I figured out pretty quick that my ignition pins on my ecm where shorted out. I opened it up and the board had several burnt components on it. Mainly diodes.
Im at the point now that im ready to install a new ecm but im double checking my wiring beforehand and have found out that at first my ecm X2-55 had 12 volts with key on and off. I pulled ecm relay to check if it was stuck closed and it was not. Once I reinstalled it I checked again but now it only has 2.5 volts. I checked the ecm fuse and it had 0 volts. I checked ecm battery fuse and it was at 12 volts. I checked ecm relay feed pins and both at 12 volts. Still 0 at ecm fuse. I jumped the relay with a fused wire and ecm fuse had 12 volts. Sorry for the long post but I’m kind of stumped at what the problem is. I tried a different relay and have checked continuity from the pins to batt +. Is my fuse panel bad or is it a wiring issue? Any help would be appreciated
Is there anyway you could share a diagrams and possibly label them where you were measuring and what voltage you were reading?
Without some familiarity to the circuit in question, it's difficult to say if what you are describing is normal
