Help us help you. By posting the year, make, model and engine near the beginning of your help request, followed by the symptoms (no start, high idle, misfire etc.) Along with any prevalent Diagnostic Trouble Codes, aka DTCs, other forum members will be able to help you get to a solution more quickly and easily!
It has an electronic throttle control without an additional idle air bypass.
Car have steady idle but it stalls after you press gas pedal and let it decelerate. It can't return to idle.
Tried cleaning throttle but it didn't help. Removing a hose that goes to the intake before throttle didn't help. (not a restricted intake?)
Also, scanner shows that the throttle position "jumps" from 6% to 4% when I slightly touch the gas pedal on KOEO. After getting to 4% it slowly rises. (or, is it the way it is supposed to work?)
Could this be a bad TPS? I also heard that it could be a bad MAP sensor. MAP was showing about 40 KPa at idle which rises when you press the gas pedal.
Is this while sitting in "park" or on the road, driving? Or, both?
Is the Engine Oil full and clean? Do you have access to CVVT scan data?
What are your Fuel trims and O2 sensors doing during the stall?
"Knowledge is a weapon. Arm yourself, well, before going to do battle."
"Understanding a question is half an answer." I have learned more by being wrong, than I have by being right.
Both on driving and during sitting in "park".
Not sure about engine oil and CVVT. And, I don't remember what were fuel trims and O2 sensors.
Thank you very much.
Sorry for the late reply. It was client's car. I was not sure what to do and let him leave. I am asking for any clues that I can use to research on this problem to be more prepared next time.
