I don't know what that specific code means but, make sure you have a good, stable power supply and check to ensure that you have the autel VCI drivers installed on your laptop.

I also don't know what the code means, but have encountered "programming failed" messages after successfully programming modules.

The 851082 fault comes up in a bunch of different threads over on Diag.net if you're a member:

18v on pin 13 enables the module to be programmed.

A few years ago there was a problem with fjds version 113, I believe. I ended up in a situation similar to yours, even though I had 18v on pin 13. I don't recall the error code but, the solution for me was to manually install "as built data".

I'm going to assume this 18v comes from the vcm? If there isn't 18v would it be possible to artificially supply the wire with 18v? Or would it fry the vmc if its not built for that? Could I De-pin #13 from the dlc and add 18v without the vcm?

Thanks

The 18v is supplied by the programming tool.
If your tool is not supplying the 18v, I suppose that you could supply an external source but, if the j2534 box is not working, properly, I don't think that I would trust it do the programming.

If you give it a try, be sure to let us know how it went.

Good luck!
