Hi all

I hear a whining noise in cabin, AC off, audio off
It is relatively low volume and the noise pitch follows exactly the motor revs

Any idea what to look for ?

Thanks

The term XK covers a lot of Jaguar models but generally whining noise comes from a worn bearing in alternator/generator or water pump or power steering pump. On some models it could be a viscous fan issue. However my first action would be to check the level of the power steering fluid and tension of the auxiliary belts.

Agree with Andy 100%. Depending on how difficult it is, you can remove the accessory belt(s) and see if the noise goes away. If it does, investigate the accessories further.
