O2 sensor signal wire was created by branaae
Hello, i have an issue with both upstream o2 sensors on a 2004 frontier v6 3.3/ supercharged
The o2 sensor reading on scanner is weird its not going up and down like in the videos(.1-.9v)
I have replaced both sensors and the same thing i get codes p0132 and p0152 (high voltage)
i tested the wiring and the heater element is getting 12v and ground, Im using my test light to supply 12v to the signal wire but i dont get the reading on the scanner,
also the signal wire has continuity to 12v positive battery post.
Can anyone tell me what does this mean?
Thank you.

I would be curious to know what the O2 signal voltages displayed on the scan tool are, and what the signal voltages when measured with a meter are.
Supplying 12v on the signal wire, even with a test light, is not exactly a great test. There's not a lot of information you can gather from this because the O2 sensor voltage PID on the scan tool likely will not report anything higher than 1v.
There is a TSB to check the 02 harness connectors for water intrusion. This can short the 12v heater supply to the signal and cause the high voltage codes you are describing.

Hi, thanks for replying.
The o2 sensor signal in the scanner does not oscillate from .1 to .9 as seen in videos. it does weird things it either stays up or down and sometimes it seems like if youre looking at the steps in a staircase going up and down.
When i supply 12v with my test light i dont see anything on scan tool it stays at 0.00.
when i unplug the o2 sensor connector and measure the signal wire to ground i have .3v which seems to be the bias voltage. but why would the scanner wont read that?
quick note both Downstream sensors at key on engine off read .3v in the scanner.
Can you tell me more of this TSB on 02 sensor harness, is there a number so i can look it up?
Thank you.

Not saying that's definitely the issue, but worth mentioning

With key in the OFF position, what is the voltage on the signal wire? ( Red voltmeter test lead to battery positive and black, on ground). If we lose the .3v with key off, we can assume that the .3v is a bias voltage.
We can also check the signal wire for opens and shorts. (If no bias voltage)

Assuming is never a good thing.
