Hey John! Just wondering, would it help you to see the replies if they were in capitals?
My usual source for wiring diagrams is the BBB Industries site , completely free, and has pretty good coverage. Sensor location information is tougher... Honestly, I use Google Images :blush:
Anyway, I looked up your Escort and found this:
The diagram doesn't give a specific location, but you know it's associated with the exhaust camshaft, so that's a start. Plus, the wire colors can help you distinguish the camshaft sensor from others.
