Hey guys,
so I purchased this Serena c24 seven seater about a month and a half ago. It had a transmission issue at the time of purchase. So the issue that started this re-wiring journey was transmission not upshifting.
Note: I have no experience as a tech but I'm a quick study and I like troubleshooting. That and getting someone to take on a re-wiring job is a no go.
Sooo after a month of problems, had a mechanical repair of the transmission completed. This allowed the vehicle to at the very least climb hills. And finally pull of from Drive... Attempted getting the brain scanned via obd port was a no go as it was unable to read. All of that led to me researching as much as I can to eventually taking on the re-wiring. Where I'm at and where I need some guidance is this -
The starter circuit is no longer receiving power to the relay. Its Positive controlled and the power and ground for the control side of the relay is good but the power side that's suppose to carry over to the starter solenoid once the relay is closed is not receiving power. So I did a continuity test on said wire (Connecting from the pin to the opposing end of the wire at the back of the fuse box). Battery disconnected at this point. The wire shows continuity and good resistance (0.4)set to 200 ohms on voltmeter. This is with the connector unplugged... When I plug the connector into the fuse box though... Resistance jumps way up (175) when checking connection between said wire and one next to it. Not sure if I just need to replace the fuse box or if its something else. Checking each of the wires individually they have normal resistance.
Any advice is appreciated and frankly needed at this point :/
