hi sir not a journeyman yet but I am curious as to exactly why you changed pcm out was there a driver out what signal was missing just want to know exactly why the computer was changed out its quite a process to rule out pcm scanner danner stresses going thru all powers and grounds and testing drivers too it must be conclusive as some pcms and modules are very expensive I am not familiar with push button starting circuits but some very specific testing should take place before rul;in g out modules

Well it was my mechanic that came to that conclusion. The engine would not turn over when i was pushing the start button.

So basically the no start problem was attributed to the pcm and now it looks like the same problem is back, that is what you are saying?
You should have a look at scan data to make sure the start request is seen by the car, the transponder is recognized etc. Data stream will be your friend on this one.
If you had any doubts about it then you should read on how the starting system operates. Next in line is wiring diagram and tests on the car.

First fault finding step with the symptoms given is smack the starter a couple of times.

Yup, We replaced the engine computer and it was fine for a day or two. And back to the not working again. My mechanic is completely flummoxed and that is frustrating and worrisome to myself a non-mechanic but where there is a will there is a way. Will adhere to your post and come back with the findings on Monday. Thank you brother
