Your secondary wave is upside-down. Turn on INVERT to flip it right side-up.

Your spark line and firing line are very inconsistent. This indicates variable resistances. In the firing line, you don't want anymore than 2 or 3 kV variance. For the Spark line, you want to see 1.5kV - 2.5 kV

A high firing line, accompanied by a high spark line, is an indication of High Secondary Resistance....Cap, Rotor, Plugs, and wires.

Thank you,
figured out it looked inverted. will change that next test. it was hard to capture as it would walk / cycle to the right of the screen all the time with no action on my part, then settle back to this. even channel 1 with the aswave clamp. is that normal?
The erratic spacing (time) of the spark lines? Hall effect problems in distributor? pcm advance /retard? any thoughts.
this is fun

thank you,
what about the upward travel of burn line with the second spike? the middle of your picture the crop out of mine. that seams odd to me.

To keep the trace steady, you need to set a "trigger". I am not familiar with a Hantek, so I will be of no help to you there.

My guess would be RPM fluctuation, due to misfires.
