Runs rich, hesitates and stalls.
Maf has been replaced elsewhere plugs are new. A/F sensor new. It runs rich to the point you can see black smoke rolling out the tail pipe. It will run better with the A/F unplugged but not much.
What's getting me is the low engine vacuum. I thought it must be out of time so we pulled the cover off and it's not. It will hold fuel pressure so I don't have an injector leaking down or fuel pressure regulator.
He told me he did put in new injectors from where I have no clue.
P0172- Runs Rich
Fuel pressure - 46psi

What are your O2 sensors doing? Any activity, at all? Can you force them LEAN by creating a vacuum leak?

2002 WRX -hmm more than possible something non-standard has been done to the car somewhere along the line.
My first thought was a non-oem MAF or a cold air induction kit. I would also want know if the injectors were changed before or after problem first appeared.
What g/s is the maf showing at idle and 2000 RPM ?

I replied to the TechHelp on iATN, too. Any improvement with the MAF disconnected?
