Cam code was created by autojoe
I thought Paul stated in one of his videos that a faulty crank sensor could trigger a cam sensor code but may be mistaken. Thanks in advance. Joe

i believe you are right i am not sure if he eluded to the fact that a faulty cam sensor will cause a crank sensor code or vise versa the crank sensor being a critical input a correlation procedure might help not sure i guess as long as you can verify the crank signal isnt happening at all or at least not making it to the computer

I was just curious of the possibility of this happening. I was trying to find the particular video..... If Paul would monitor this site I'm sure he would know.

It may be possible but would largely depend on the vehicle and the code to know what the code set criteria is (it may be possible on some vehicles but not at all possible on others)

Thank you.... This is a faulty cam sensor causing a crank sensor code.... It can probably work just the opposite.

Try this 1 I didn't watch it. but I can tell you any shorted sensor sharing the same 5v ref line can cause codes for any other sensor on that 5v ref that's why we check 5v ref whenever were dealing with no starts or whenever dealing with fault codes related to sensor on the 5v ref to verify a sensor is not pulling the whole line down.
