2005 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 secondary air system readiness monitor not complete was created by jaivs26
Hi everyone!
i have a 05 vw jetta with a 2.5L that won't complete the readiness monitor for the secondary air system.
i tested the air pump and conbi valve with the verus and it works every time i activated, no vacuum leak (tested using smoke machine)
on a cold start the pump and combi valve works but within 15 seconds or so the combi valve closes and the air pump stays running for 5 seconds after that.
i'm using expert mode on the verus and i measuring the value block 077 on a cold start and these is what i get
and then i get this
BTW the engine temperature on a cold start is 17 C and the air temp is 20 C.
i hope someone can help me !

hello Atikovi!
yes i did fixed it was the upstream o2 sensor that was lazy , on cold start o2 sensor didn't react to the secondary air, after few seconds later started to respond, i think that's why it never throw a code for the o2 sensor.
i hope you resolved your problem already!
