By posting the year, make, model and engine near the beginning of your help request, followed by the symptoms (no start, high idle, misfire etc.) Along with any prevalent Diagnostic Trouble Codes, aka DTCs, other forum members will be able to help you get to a solution more quickly and easily!
First welcome to the forum I will move your post over to the Repair Questions section.
What you have given us in your post isn't really enough information for for us to work on. First of all we need to ask (1) Is the security alarm light going off ?. (2) Are 100% sure you put gasoline in the car not diesel ? (3) Is the car making any strange noises when you crank it.
We also need an idea how much experience with engines you have and what tools you have available.
