2012 CR-V Power Window Master switch was created by SakeenahMD
Hello everyone
So without much diagnosing I condemned the power window master switch on a 2012 CR-V being that all other switches work fine and that customer admitted to spilling liquids all over it. Ordered a brand new switch from Honda, installed it and only the rear passenger works. I call defective unit. Send it back for another, same result. Now I'm stuck. The original switch is still able to control driver window but window lock has to be engaged. What is with this? Could it just be a wrong switch? Dealership says that the vehicle is a Japanese model... Is it? Is there a difference between the Japanese switch and the American switch?

I believe thr Japanese model Vin starts with a J. I'm not sure if it matters with the switch but if they are pointing it out, it might.
So did the functionality of the switch change with the replacement one?

Both new switches only operate the left rear window. Everything else is unresponsive. I pulled up a flow chart from alldata to check the integrity of the circuit. I'll report my findings

So the original switch operated the drivers window correctly, but neither of the new ones will? Weird.
Looking at the diagram, because the left rear window works, we know that the Power Window Relay and the ground at pin 12 of the master switch are OK. Do the individual door switches still work?
BBB Industries didn't make any distinction about Japanese made or not.
It's a free site, so that doesn't necessarily mean anything, just interesting.
