Electrical Troubleshooting... was created by fonzzy46
Hello guys, I need your help in trying to figure out what may be causing the issue my friend is having with her 2012 Kia Forte SC 4 cylinder. I've included a link to a video I made for easier reference to the issue rather than trying to describe it in detail. Please take a look and give me your best opinion on what you think may be the issue. The video is only about 2:35 seconds...

Not really sure where to start.. I also don't totally understand what is going on.

I'm guessing you start the car and the dashboard goes cra cra.

What was done to car before this occurred? For example, servicing, accident, ....

Are you able to hook up a scan tool? If so, what codes are displayed for ALL modules?

GeekDIYMechanic, according to my friend, the issue started when she had her right front turn signal bulb replaced, so she says... In the video, I show that no matter how I energize the lighting circuit, this anomaly happens, where only the right turn signal dash indicator starts blinking rapidly for up to 10 seconds then goes off. With the key in the "on" position it happens on all light switch positions and when the car is "started" it also happens in all of those positions. I did not check for any codes with a scan tool because of no fault lights. I did however, check all fuses first, all ground connections; to include at the bulb socket and right headlight wiring harness, and also cleaned off the top of the battery that was really dirty and the posts and ensured the connections were tight. Alternator was putting out 14.0 to 14.3V under a high load of having everything on to include the A/C on high.

What happens when you take off the mentioned turn signal bulb?
