2010 Dodge Charger acid fell on fuse box was created by gonzalezaamg28
Customer brought in a 2010 Dodge Charger SXT. It has a tipm in the engine compartment and a second fuse box in the trunk next to the battery. The battery spilled acid and it deteriorated the fuse box. The customer took it in to a shop and the spliced a used fuse box to the harness. After replacing the fuse box now the car don’t start. The red anti theft light comes on and nothing works. The car don’t crank,no accessories work as if the car is dead. The key fob does look a little damaged so I was thinking it might have lost its programming . I want to reprogram another key, but never have done one before. Can someone walk me through what needs to get done. The diagnostic tools I have are the snap on pass through pro III and a modis edge

An expert is someone who knows each time more on each time less, until he finally knows absolutely everything about absolutely nothing.

If the tipm was changed it has to be programmed. Because it contains specific vehicle built and configuration data a used part will NOT work.
Does the dash power up at all? Does your scanner comunicate? If so there should be present specific mismatch codes...Read the VIN in the tipm if possible

The car won’t crank. The tipm was not changed it was the power distribution in the trunk of the car. I can only communicate with certain modules with my scan tool.

Does the scanner comunicate with the pcm? If so, what does the crank pid read when trying to start? If not , is the 5 volt output present at the sensors?
I cant help feeling that there might have been forgotten a main power feed to be connected or something is connected wrongly.... You might want to go again over the work been done at the power distribution box in the back.
