By posting the year, make, model and engine near the beginning of your help request, followed by the symptoms (no start, high idle, misfire etc.) Along with any prevalent Diagnostic Trouble Codes, aka DTCs, other forum members will be able to help you get to a solution more quickly and easily!
I have a 1999 cadillac deville. It cranks but won't start, it has security problems. If you disconnect the battery and then reconnect it, the car wil fire and run for a second but then shuts off and won't restart. I believe the injectors are not getting power. I tried to put a resistor in to bypass the key but that did not solve my problems. No idea where to go from here. I actually haven't tried to work on the car since before winter, so I don't remember the diagnostic codes, but I will be starting over on it this weekend. I really need to get it running and I can't afford to take it to a shop.
