Readiness monitors won't set was created by racingmostwanted
I have a 21 Hyundai Veloster N and won't pass emissions because the catalyst, both O2 sensors, EGR and EVAP monitors will not set. It's pretty modified with a catless downpipe with defouler. No engine codes at all. I can get the catalyst to set but when I turn the car off and back on it goes back to not set. I don't know what to do. I drove it probably 1k miles.

"Ground cannot be checked with a 10mm socket"

Because the monitor will complete and then report not complete on the next start up, it sounds like the PCM is possibly missing a power feed, essentially resulting in a battery disconnect everytime you cycle the key.
Do all the monitors reset to not run when you turn the car off and back on again?

No only the catalyst monitor sets none of the others will. Then when I start the car again the catalyst isn't set anymore. How would I even check to see if it's not getting power? Thank you so much for the reply

I checked ECU2 and memory and both fuses look good. What happens if I flip the switch? I don't want my key fob to not work. I really appreciate you trying to help me

Returning back to this ECU 2 fuse. If the fuse is hot at all times according to the diagram, a voltage drop must be present across the fuse with the key out of the vehicle to retain the memory. If the voltage drop is zero maybe it's a broken wire to the ECM.

If this "fuse switch" was at fault then the "audio and digital clock must be reset" but this is not one of the symptoms you described. Is the cover for this switch broken and is your knee hitting it at times? I can't foresee a switch going bad without any movement to it.What happens if I flip the switch? I don't want my key fob to not work.

I just thought that on/off switch was kind of like a hard reset but idk. A person with the same car as mine said his ek1 which is like a tuning device stays on but I'm sure it plugs into the obd port so idk if that's the same circuit as ECU2 or not. I think I have some kind of multimeter to check the voltage. I'm not that good at electrical. I really do appreciate your help. I've talked to numerous shops and tuners and they have no clue what's causing it.
