Have you looked at the freeze frame data, mainly paying attention to two pids; 1. VTEC command solenoid state (OFF or ON) and 2. EOP sensor readings when the DTC was set.
Also monitor pressure readings as you increase and decrease engine RPM. If the reading is stuck/biased at below 6psi then I would start checking the 3 pin connector while for 5Vref, signal ground, and signal input (Paul has great videos on these) . It is a process my friend but you are learning a lot from your vehicle. Let us know what you find and we can go from there.

CurrentDraw wrote: The malfunction threshold to trigger a P2646 is when the PCM sees the EOP sensor drop below 6psi while the VTEC solenoid is OFF. This means that the only reason the code is set is due to low oil pressure. It's our task to find out if it's mechanical, sensor, wiring or faulty PCM misinterpreting the reading.

This is great info. I think, though, that he doesn't have a scan tool that can do that. I had originally hoped we could get him an appointment for a diag with Paul. If there is anyone out there reading this who is in the Pittsburgh area I'm sure he'd be happy to bring it in for a thorough diag on this one. I wish Paul had time to do a video on this system as there aren't any videos on it from any of the reputable sources.
