hello, i'm working on an 07 chevy impala with a 3.5 engine. The problem im having is that the speedometer is not working because the ecm, bcm, are not seeing the vss signal. I have already fixed the wiring to the vss and also installed a new speed sensor. The tcm does see the signal as it shows vehicle speed and the transmission is shifting. On the cluster the abs and trac light are on but this car does not come equipped with abs module. I ohmed out the can lines and they read 60ohm. My question is what could be keeping the ecm and bcm from seeing the signal and what else can i check. Thank you.

These clusters have problems with the motors going bad are you sure your missing the speed signal to it? Have you performed a self test on the cluster to verify the speedometer works? Do you have a diagram of the vss? if not someone can post 1. Also lastly what did you repair in the wiring?

no codes in any of the modules, and the vss signal goes to the tcm, from there it gets send over the can lines to the ecu and bcm. after reading the operation on mitchell, it says that it will defalt to 0 mph if the bcm does not see the vss signal.
