[Fixed] - 2002 BMW 325i - EVAP Readiness will not complete
Initially this vehicle would not complete the secondary air and evap readiness monitors.
I noticed that this car had lazy upstream O2s. So, they were changed out and the secondary air readiness monitor completed and passed quickly. Yeehaw. LOL
But, EVAP won't complete. So I looked at Mode $06 data. I found the following:
All other CIDs passed.
TID 5 CID7 MIN: 3932 Value: 926
TID 5 CID8 MIN: 3 Value: 0
TID 5 CID9 MIN: 5651 Value: 6005
I purchased the Mitchel DIY shop manual for this vehicle, but the documentation doesn't jive with these CIDs. For example, the manual only goes up to CID8, yet I have a CID9. In addition, the possible ranges don't match up at all; Mitchel has them ranging from 0..590mA.
I know TID 5 is EVAP related. I was hoping this data would give me a hint as to what exact step is failing during the EVAP Readiness monitor test.
Does anyone have better information as to what these CIDs are referring to?
