I was wondering if any of you guys have seen this "problem".
I plugged into a Vauxhall Astra vxr and it had no EOBD codes, but in manufacturer specific it had 5 engine codes. Problem is that in manufacturer specific there is no freeze frame.
Havre thou guys seen no EOBD codes but in maker side there are?
EOBD like OBD2 and JOBD keeps to a core number of codes related to only codes that could cause an increase in emmisions. EOBD/JOBD/OBD2 codes have to be tested when the manufacturer certifies a vehicle and engine type meets emmisions standards as a result these codes and PIDs tend to be reliable than manufacturers extended ones and spurious manufacturers fault codes are not unkown for example some Land-Rover Freelanders throw up a code for an oil temperature sensor fault when none is fitted.
