Brake release then pop was created by Hockey4dad
Hello I’m a DIYer and have a question that someone could point me in the right direction.2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 4wd.. When I come to a complete stop, then give it the gas there is a pop/clunk sound,if I ease off ,not so much. I put the front on jack stands, because I thought it might be ball joints, everything tight..Wheel bearings ok, sounds like it’s comming from the front end.any thoughts on what else I could check?

How did you test the ball joints? On that truck, you want to jack up underneath the lower control arm to unload the joint, then use a pry-bar underneath the tire to lift the joint and check for movement.

Do I need to take the weight off of the 2 rear tires to properly check this?
