2008 Saturn Vue 3.6L no start was created by johnbonifas

2008 saturn veu 3.6 installed timing chain i have 170 compression spark is good and i have injector pulse no codes won't start if i pulse the injectors it will start for one second then die i have a pintal hump and injector amp is 1 amp

Have you done 3.6 timing chains before?

Do you have a scope? At least 2 channels

No this is my first one alldada said to use dots on left side & triangles on the right side yes i have a 4 channel scope Thank you for getting back to me

You've got spark and injector pulse... How's fuel pressure? Or, will it run on an alternate fuel source?

No it will not run fuel pressure is 59 psi if i pulse the injectors it will start for a second and die

Sure seems like the car wants to run. :huh: Did this one start/run before the chains? Wondering about a plugged exhaust.

You could try pulling the front upstream O2 and see if it seems to start any easier.

I did that this car came from another shop the customer said it ran when he dropped it off put new head gaskets in and they couldn't get it started i be leave i have it in time i did stage two then i went to stage one to start timing it

You put new chains on? If so why did you replace the chains? or you re-timed the existing chains? Does it have 170 psi in all cylinders?

i used my scanner and i did a balance test all the injectors dropped the same tried starting it and it started and died wont start by it self

the other shop replaced the head gaskets and timed it wrong i re timed it and i have 170 in all cylinders

they replaced the head gaskets and used the old gears i had to re time it so i put new chain set in i have 170 in all cylinders

So do you have injector pulse while cranking? Or just when controlling with the scantool?

If it were me I would have to verify timing. Perform a relative compression test with an ignition sync from each bank

Maybe a secondary ign wave see look at the resistance in wave see if you have a super lean mixture do a volume test even though injector pintle shows volume
