Hello, i am having an issue with my 2004 jeep grand cherokee, i have no gauges, crank but no start

I did have an intermittent issue for the last 2 weeks were my oil pressure gauge would drop to 0 and check gauges would come on, i finally replaced it and the sensor was covered in oil and so was the pigtail, i cleaned it and it did not help.

I have A cheap Autel scanner that can talk to the BCM , ABS , SKIM, but hangs up on the pcm.

I tried unplugging all the 5v sensors, Crank, cam. TPS , oil pressure

Saw on the forum to go to the cavity 17 and cut the orange 5v supply in case it was shorting.

Still no comms, any other suggestions?

With no communications with one module on the high speed CAN, we usually check powers, grounds and communication lines to the module unless the 5v ref is shorted to ground.

Assuming is never a good thing.

You're definitely right, i will check the pcm for power and grounds first thing in the morning. The 10 amp fuse for the ecm checked out good, i put a multimeter and was getting the 12.4v on both legs.

Sorry i assumed. Im trying my best as i need this for work and family.

Thank you for the guidance!

10pm update : Grounds and power verified. Checked the volts on the 5v supply and its outputting 5v, but since i cut it , it should be 0 at sensors right?, well the oil pressure sensor is pulling 4.1v , short to power somewhere on harness? Or do i have that wrong
