2004 dodge ram 2500 hemi 5.7 engine. Replaced coils.... Plugs..... Wires..... Boots..... No driveability problems. No misfire.... Why is the light on? How does the pcm detect burn time to set code? Maybe a reflash pcm. If anyone has ran into this issue before. Thanks

These can be tricky codes, but the idea is pretty straightforward. The PCM is directly monitoring the coil burn time via the primary voltage waveform. Too long a burn time or not long enough will set this code. What kind of burn times it's looking for exactly isn't specified, unfortunately. :(

Does this code immediately reset after clearing? Or, is it intermittent? Depending on when the code sets, I might suggest keeping it simple and moving the new coil/wire/plugs off #1 and to another cylinder, just to see if anything changes. Primary and secondary circuit faults are fair game - even a plug gap being out of spec can set this code.

If you have a scope and an amp clamp, you can also compare the primary burn time and coil current ramp with another cylinder to see if there's an obvious circuit issue.

ScannerDanner hasn't done a video on this code yet, but James Danner has. :cheer: Eric O at SMA has a series on it as well.

I see some magic words.... you replaced parts, are all the parts OEM direct replacement ? If not you may need to change them to one that are. I have found that some coils and plugs can cause this issue...
